When Marisa takes a week vacation, Stacey is happy to prove herself and reassert her own role as Mon and sexy wife.
Easier said than done. Stacey finds that without Marisa’s help, taking care of family and work is a little more than she can handle. Nothing goes right, she messes up breakfast. she falls asleep at work, she’s late picking up the kids at school, and her biggest challenge is winning back the affections of 6 year of KAITLIN, who misses Marisa and finds Stacey a poor substitute. Stacey goes crazy trying to keep everybody happy, and she eventually admits to her best friend DAWN, ‘ I just can’t seem to hold it together.’
She keeps trying to be the perfect mother, but is rebuffed by Kaitlin, who screams, ‘ I hate you. You’re not my mommy!’ Stacey is defeated and finally realizes that something has to give. The next day, she takes Kaitlin to a salon so that they can get manicures while having lollipops. That night, Kaitlin follows her mother around until finally Stacey crawls in bed with her, and they snuggle together in a loving embrace. Still, Kaitlin admits, ‘ I miss Marisa.’ Stacey replies, ‘Me too.’
